We're a family-owned, local establishment. We're thrilled to be open serving the residents of Hampton Cove and Owens Cross Roads, AL. Please check out our FAQs, as they also include many of our terms of service as well.

Are you 21+ only?
Yes, we have a strict "no children" policy, no matter the age.
We have been granted a bar/lounge liquor license from the ABC Board and do not allow children in the bar despite the fact that we serve food.
Do you offer take-out?
No, we don't. You can place a catering order via [email protected] or you can order food to-go when you're dining in. We want our food to be hot, fresh, and great tasting as possible, so we do not accept phone orders for take-out/pick-up.
Do you offer take-out on your specials nights?
No, our specials nights, such as BOGO Crab Cake night, have become so bsuy we cannot offer take-out. We want to ensure any food that's sold takeaway is hot, fresh, and enjoyable as possible, so we only offer dine-in on those nights.
Do you have a wine club?
Yes, we have the "Sip & Savor" wine club for all to join. There are two levels and many bennies.

What are your hours?
We are open 3pm-9pm Tues thru Saturday.
What are the best times to visit?
Any time during our open hours is great, of course, but you'll find fewer crowds between 1pm and 6pm. Come on out!
When is your happy hour?
We offer happy hour Tues - Saturday from 3pm -6pm.
During that time you'll get $2 off glasses of wine and $8 off every bottle over $45.
These prices do not apply to our house red, white, and rose glasses or pichets.
Are you card only?
Yes, and here’s why:
Sadly, we’ve lost friends and peers in the restaurant industry to violent crimes related to cash on-site.
For the safety of our staff, we’ve made the decision to go cashless—a growing trend in restaurants, venues, and other industries for the same reason.
We appreciate your understanding and support in keeping our team safe.
Do you take reservations?
We take reservations ONLY for groups of 6 or more. These reservations also require a minimum of 48 hours notice.
To better serve all our guests, we recommend booking larger parties between 3-5:30pm.
Unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate large parties during peak hours from 7-8:30pm. Thank you for your understanding!
Do you offer private event space rental?
Yes, we do rent out our space and provide catering for all kinds of private events. See more info here.
How many people can you seat?
We intentionally designed Amélie to be a cozy, intimate space for friends, family, and community.
We can accommodate up to 60 guests when fully seated, so we kindly ask for your patience if it’s a bit busy when you arrive.
Can we order on your patio?
We do have a small front patio area with park benches, seats and two small tables.
While we do not serve food on the patio, we will be happy to sell you a glass or a bottle of one of our tatsy wines to enjoy in the open air.
Are you veteran owned?
Yes, we are!
Our owners bring over 40 years of combined service to the US Army (MI), top national security agencies, and the Department of Defense.
One of our three owners is also a service-disabled Army veteran, and we’re proud to have that background as part of our story.
Can we bring our dog to the patio?
Yes, we are animal lovers and your well-behaved furry friend & family member is welcome on our patio. We open our patio when the weathee is good, but it may be closed during inclement weather days.
One note: if your dog becomes an isssue for other diners or other feline friends, we may ask you to remove them.
Do you offer veteran's discounts?
Yes, we offer 15% off any entrees. The veteran MUST be present to receive discount!
Sadly, we can't offer discounts on any alcohol to any specific group per State of Alabama liquor laws.
Can I combine discounts?
No. Referred to as "stacking" discounts, you cannot combine more than one discount for the same items on any check. For example, you cannot use wine club discounts on a bottle of wine and happy hour discounts.
Is your menu gluten-free?
No, nothing on our menu is expressly gluten-free.
Our menu aims to provide "bistro"-style offerings inspired by french cafes, so we source very high-end, often imported and traditionally made meats, cheeses, and other ingredients.
These are impossible to obtain in a gluten-free form, so the only options we have for gluten-free dining are dishes for which we can swap our the bread portion for off-the-shelf gluten-free crackers.
Additionally, if you have Celiac disease or a wheat allergy, it's vital to note that we use, process, and store wheat products in just about everything we do.
As such, dining with us if you do have an allergy may be risky. Be advised that we do not accept any liability for complications that may arise from doing so.
We also use, store, and process nuts of various types, so those with nut allergies must take note as well.
We'd love to be able to offer quality, good-tasting gluten-free items for our guests, but, sadly, not many of these items exist that would also mesh with our bistro-style menu.
When does your kitchen close?
Orders must be in by 8pm in order for our kitchen to fulfill all orders before our 9pm close of business due to ABC alcohol promotion restrictions.
Are crab cakes only on certain days?
We now offer our Chesapeake crab cakes every day we're open, from open - close.
Do you sell wine bottles to go?
Yes, we sell all by-the-glass and retail bottles to go.

Do you sell "real" champagne by-the-glass?
Yes! We are one of the only bars in town that stocks real french champagne (no sparkling wine) served "by the glass." Come in and try it!
Do you have a retail wine section?
Yes, we have an ever-growing collection of wines across the spectrum of wine types available for purchase to take home. Come in and shop!

Do you run out of dishes?
Our menu is put together from premium and very high-end ingredients. These are often delicate and costly, so we try to purchase and stock amounts based on demand.
If we have very busy nights, we may run out of certain items. We'll let you know when you sit down if something is out while we replenish it.
We do our best to anticipate volume, but we have had nights where everyone wants the crab cake, burrata crostini, charcuterie, etc.
When do you add automatic gratuity?
We automatically add gratuity for parties of 6 or more. We also add gratuity to your check if you leave taking the entire receipt with you or the copy of the receipt left for us, the restaurant.
